If you build small loop antennas, here's an easy way to keep your wires in-place, perfectly
spaced and avoid the sharp angles normally associated with CUTTING wire guide slots. Just
go to your local home improvement center and purchase a small section of Ribbed, Vinyl
Floor Runner material. Typically, the ribs will be on 1/8" centers making it perfect for
most loop antenna designs. Just cut 4 pieces to size for each of your loops corners and use
double-sided tape (I use carpet tape) to temporarily hold the guides in place while you are
winding your loop. Above is a photo of the material showing how I used it to build the
MW-1812VE Loop of a few years ago.
