If you build loop antennas using PVC pipe for the frame, here's a tip on how to anchor your
magnet wire to the frame.
Typically, most folks will be tempted to use #6 or #8 sheet metal screws (with flat washers)
to anchor the wire to the frame. The problem is that, quite often, the wire will get caught up
in the screw threads and be pulled down and broken as the screw is tightened.
A better way is to use 1/8" Pop-Rivets instead of screws. I typically use two pop-rivits, spaced
about an inch apart and use a figure eight winding style around the rivets. I do not
overlap the wire as that would tend to cause it to break as well. I simply wrap around one
rivet clockwise then around the other counter-clockwise.
