Wednesday night Rockport outing report, and Web information:
I went out to Granite Pier in Rockport, MA on the evening of
2 SEP 1998. At sunset, the high-band lower-latitude Trans-
Atlantic stations were coming in well. Latin American stations
soon picked up in strength and it was obvious that there was
some persistence of the auroral effects reported by several of
you over the last week or two. Skip domestics were not weakened
as much as I'd hoped. Montreal and Toronto stations were almost
non-existent, though the Maritime Canadians such as CHTN-720 and
CHCM-740 were still strong enough to require nulling to clean up
receptions of co-channel South Americans.
A highlight was hearing a possible Paraguayan on 780. It
mixed with Venezuela and CFDR and it popped atop for a bit with
an "en Asuncion" mention and a religious program that sounded
like "hermanos de la fe".

I'll issue a full-data version of the logs after I add some
more items when I go to Cape Cod on 12 SEP.
I've put together a Web page that's presently a lot of links,
some of which could be useful to DXers. Some of the bookmarks
haven't been verified for a few months, so several may be
"duds". The page is a work in progress and will be made
richer in content when I have time to play with it. To
check it out, go to "http://members.aol.com/MarkWA1ION/" .
